Since they came out I’ve always been a fan of portable solid state drives. They are pretty small, extremely fast, and it seems I always have one in my laptop bag. Today we are taking a look at Kingston’s latest portable solid state drive, the XS2000. This drive makes use of the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 20 Gbps interface with rated speeds of 2000 MB/s which make it perfect for transferring files, being a portable video editing drive, or even portable game drive. Let’s take a look and see what this drive can do!
Special thanks to Kingston for providing us with the XS2000 Portable Solid State Drive to review.
Specifications
Packaging
The XS2000 comes in Kingston’s typical retail packaging. On the front we have a picture of the drive and it lets us know the capacity, which in our case is 1TB. Kingston also offers the drive in 500GB and 2TB capacities.
Flipping the box over to the back we have some information on the drive as well as what all comes in the box.
Getting everything out of the box we have the XS2000 drive, a removable rubber sleeve, and a Type-C cable.
